Information Evening at Skipton Library

potsThank you to everyone who came to our information evening
at Skipton Library last Monday (8th February), which introduced the project and included some extracts from the translation.

It was fascinating to hear about artefacts found in gardens and stories of family members who were linked to the camp in some way. We were especially pleased to receive two inkwells (pictured) that had been found in the garden of a house on what is now Raikeswood Drive: thank you to Mr and Mrs Schofield for those.

There will be another event at the library on Monday 11th April (5-7pm), at which we will be giving an update on the translation and going into more detail about life in the camp.  It will also be a second opportunity to share any stories and artefacts. We hope to see many of you there!
